Mindset
Blueprint

This isn’t motivation. It’s initiation.

“I am ready to receive what I was built to know.”

Mind. Spirit. Strategy. Success.

Before the Crown

Prologue

"Align your mind. Heal your spirit. Build your empire."

Stop.

Before you go any further โ€” I need you to understand what you are holding.

This is not a self-help book. This is not a collection of tips, strategies, and feel-good quotes designed to give you a temporary lift before life pulls you back down to where you were. I have no interest in giving you a weekend of inspiration followed by a Monday of the same old reality. That is not what I built. That is not what you need. And if I am being honest โ€” that is not what you deserve.

What you are holding is an initiation.

The difference matters. An inspiration fades. An initiation changes you permanently. You do not walk out of an initiation the same person who walked in. Something in you shifts at a cellular level โ€” the way you see yourself, the way you carry yourself, the way you respond to the storms that used to break you. That shift is irreversible. And that is exactly what this is designed to do.

But here is the thing about initiations. They are not for everyone.

Not because some people are less worthy โ€” every soul that walks this earth carries worth. But because an initiation requires something from you that motivation does not. It requires that you have already been through something. That life has already cracked you open. That you have already sat in the kind of darkness where you could no longer perform โ€” where the mask came off and you had to face yourself, alone, with nothing to hide behind.

If that has not happened to you yet, this book will still have value. But come back to it. Come back when the storm has hit. Come back when you have lost something that mattered. Come back when the silence gets loud enough that you cannot run from it anymore. Come back when you are ready to be changed rather than simply inspired.

And if you have already been through it โ€” if you know exactly what I am describing because you have lived it, because you still carry the marks โ€” then you are exactly who I wrote this for. Every word. Every declaration. Every exercise. Every truth I was willing to put on the page. It was all written for the person who is reading this right now.

This is your initiation.

It begins the moment you decide you are ready.

"I am ready to receive what I was built to know."

Chapter One

The Crack

"Your wound is not your weakness. It is your curriculum."

I am going to start somewhere most people do not start.

Not with a strategy. Not with a framework. Not with five steps to a better mindset. I am going to start in the dark โ€” because that is where the real story begins. And if I am going to ask you to go deep, I have to be willing to go there first.

Before the studios. Before the brand. Before Yung Kings, before the framework, before any of the things you might have seen or heard about my world โ€” there was a young man who genuinely felt like he did not belong here. Not in his family. Not in his city. Not in the version of life he had been handed. Like he had been made from different material to the people around him, and nobody could explain why, least of all him.

I lost my father in 2014.

I did not get a phone call. I did not get someone sitting me down, holding my hand, giving me the space to process what it means to lose the man who was supposed to show you how to become one. I found out through Facebook. Two days after it happened. Two days of my family knowing, looking at me, carrying it โ€” and choosing silence. And then I saw it on a screen, in a newsfeed, between posts that meant nothing.

I want you to sit with that for a moment. Because that is not just grief. Grief is hard enough on its own. That is betrayal stacked on top of grief, wrapped in the kind of shock that changes the way you trust people for years afterwards. When you are young and you lose the person you needed most, and then the people who were supposed to protect you โ€” the ones closest to you โ€” cannot even protect you from finding out the way you found out, something cracks open. Something in the foundation of how you see the world breaks, and it does not go back together the way it was.

I have had issues with neglect that I will not detail fully, because some things are mine to carry in private. I have always isolated myself. I have never quite fit in โ€” but I have always, always stood out. For most of my life, I have had a deep, constant feeling of being different. Not better. Not worse. Different. Like I was watching the world through glass โ€” close enough to see everything, but separated by something I could not name.

And then came the moment I will not give you every detail of, because it belongs to me and to God. But there was a moment โ€” a real moment, not a metaphor โ€” where I was at an edge. The kind of edge where you question whether you are supposed to be here at all. Where the pain becomes loud enough that it drowns out every reason to stay.

And something spoke. Not in words. In knowing.

A deep, undeniable, full-body knowing that I was not just flesh walking through life, accumulating pain and waiting for the end. I was light. I was source. I was chosen. I was divine. And everything that had happened to me โ€” every loss, every betrayal, every season of isolation, every moment of feeling like I did not belong โ€” had not been destroying me. It had been building me. Building something in me that nothing in this world could touch, because it was not of this world.

That was the moment I became Imani B. Not the name. The identity. The understanding that I had been transmuting pain into power my entire life without knowing it โ€” and that the time had come to do it consciously, deliberately, completely.

I stopped waiting for the people who hurt me to acknowledge it. I stopped building my case, rehearsing the arguments, tallying the wounds. I took my power back. All of it. And instead of turning it outward โ€” into rage, into bitterness, into the kind of destruction that punishes the person doing it more than anyone else โ€” I transmuted it. Every piece of darkness I had absorbed, I converted into source energy. Into the foundation of a framework that I now teach to artists, to entrepreneurs, to anyone who is willing to do the real work.

Here is what that gives me that most people who teach mindset cannot offer you: I am not teaching from theory. I am not teaching from a book I read or a module I completed or a retreat I attended. I am teaching from the place I came back from. And that changes everything about the weight of what I say.

I have been there. I am living proof of it. And living proof is the only authority that actually matters.

The Tree That Broke Through

There is a specific image I want you to hold as you move through this book. Not because it is poetic โ€” because it is true, and I need you to see it clearly.

A crack in the pavement does not stop a tree. The tree does not wait for permission. It does not ask the pavement to move, does not negotiate with the concrete, does not adjust its growth to accommodate what is pressing down on it. It grows through the break. Around the obstacle. Toward the light. Because that is not stubbornness โ€” that is design. That is simply what it was built to do.

You are the tree. The things that tried to break you were the pavement. And every crack they left behind โ€” every fracture, every wound, every place where something shattered that you thought would never be whole again โ€” that is where your roots went deeper. That is where you grew stronger than the version of you that existed before the breaking.

Your wound is not your weakness. Do not let anyone tell you it is. Do not let the pain of it convince you it is. Your wound is your curriculum. The exact thing you survived is the exact thing that qualified you to be in rooms, to have conversations, to hold space, to lead people who are standing exactly where you once stood and cannot yet see the way through.

Own it. Not perform it for sympathy โ€” own it. The difference is everything. Performing your pain keeps you in it. Owning it transmutes it into something that serves not just you, but everyone you were born to reach.
